Exhibition Profile China import and export commodities fair is also called Canton fair. Founded in the spring of 1957, it is held in guangzhou in spring and autumn every year, jointly sponsored by the ministry of commerce and guangdong provincial people's government, and undertaken by China foreign trade center. It is a comprehensive international trade event with the longest history, the highest level, the largest scale, the most complete variety of commodities, the largest number of purchasers and the widest range of countries and regions and the best transaction effect in China. By the end of the 123rd session, the total export volume of Canton fair was about 1323.7 billion us dollars, and the total number of overseas buyers reached about 8.42 million. At present, the exhibition scale of each session of Canton fair reaches 1,185,000 square meters, with nearly 25,000 domestic and overseas exhibitors, and about 200,000 overseas buyers from over 210 countries and regions attending the conference. The trade modes of the Canton fair are flexible and diversified, and VirtualExpo (Online Exhibition) is held in addition to traditional transaction by sample. The Canton fair is mainly engaged in export trade, but also in import business. It can also carry out various forms of economic and technological cooperation and exchanges, as well as business activities such as commodity inspection, insurance, transportation, advertising and consultation.
